Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and analyze threat intelligence feeds
- Conduct forensic investigations of cyber breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct periodic tabletop exercises
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel) and network protocols
- Strong knowledge of threat detection methodologies and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency incidents
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation
