Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and conduct timely incident response and remediation.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security devices to ensure robust protection.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Respond to and document security breaches, providing detailed post-incident reports and recommendations for prevention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and risk management frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
