Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls and IDS/IPS
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach containment activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security best practices across the organization
- Generate detailed security reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a professional setting
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
