Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach mitigation activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and maintain compliance frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence initiatives
- Maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and runbooks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance standards
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
