Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and response procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical assets
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security-by-design principles
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
