Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security alerts to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Lead forensic investigations of security incidents and produce detailed reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in security awareness training programs for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
