Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to protect networks, systems, and data from cyber threats
- Respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into system design
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
