Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Prepare executive-level security reports and incident documentation
- Lead threat hunting initiatives using MITRE ATT&CK methodologies
- Manage security tool integrations including EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or security analyst role
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH (required)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and endpoint protection
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
