Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Perform forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security breaches.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct regular security awareness training sessions for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or Bash) for automation and incident response.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
