Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure rapid recovery.
- Enforce security policies and ensure strict compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud infrastructure and on-premise systems.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or similar SIEM platforms.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security priorities effectively.
