Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability management processes including patching and remediation tracking
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and compliance (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Deliver security awareness training to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log analysis and threat hunting
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting security procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations center coverage
