Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for employees
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and patch management
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
