Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds to proactively identify emerging attack vectors
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Lead forensic investigations during security breaches and provide detailed incident reports
- Stay current with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, NIST)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to incidents during off-hours
