Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and generate detailed incident reports
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect network infrastructure and data assets
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Create executive-level security dashboards and threat intelligence briefings
- Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises for critical infrastructure scenarios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-impact threats
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain required security clearance
