Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, OS hardening, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex threats clearly
