Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediate identified risks
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM experience
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities under pressure
