Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Analyze network traffic and logs to detect anomalous activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and best practices
- Generate detailed security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security frameworks
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security principles
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during security incidents
