Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, containment strategies, and post-incident reporting.
- Enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Perform threat hunting to uncover hidden risks and malicious activity within the network.
- Manage and maintain endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, EDR solutions, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP), Linux, and Windows server administration.
- Experience with script automation (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
