Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and risk analysis of network infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in accordance with established playbooks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and anti-virus solutions.
- Collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to harden systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
