Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS/Azure solutions including VPCs, S3, EC2, Lambda, and Azure Functions
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Monitor cloud environments with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and third-party tools
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Ensure security compliance with CIS benchmarks and Alaska-specific regulations
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS/Azure engineering experience
- Expertise in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS models and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
- Certification in AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Engineer
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently in Alaska's remote-friendly environment
