What You Will Do:
- Work within our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor security alerts and incidents.
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to detect potential intrusions or anomalies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Develop and implement robust security policies and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into software development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Train staff on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate security breaches, analyze root causes, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Develop and update incident response plans and security policies to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and log analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and investigation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
