We're seeking a strategic leader who will spearhead our R&D initiatives for emerging technologies that will redefine industries by 2026. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market foresight, and innovation management to develop groundbreaking solutions in AI, quantum computing, and sustainable tech.
As a key member of our Future Horizons division, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, lead cross-functional teams, and shape our technology roadmap for the next decade. You'll have the autonomy to explore emerging paradigms while ensuring alignment with our mission to create human-centered technological solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market opportunities
- Present futuristic visions to stakeholders through compelling whitepapers and executive briefings
- Manage a $5M+ innovation budget for experimental R&D projects
- Mentor a team of 10+ futurists and technical researchers
- Author thought leadership pieces for industry publications
- Organize and host annual 2026 Technology Summit events
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years in tech R&D
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, or Web3.0
- Published research in IEEE/Nature journals on future technologies
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary R&D teams of 15+ members
- Strategic planning experience with Fortune 500 companies
- Strong proficiency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, S-curves)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
