Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives focused on 2026 technology horizons (quantum computing, neural interfaces, sustainable tech)
- Develop and execute strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with market evolution and regulatory landscapes
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and threats
- Secure and manage partnerships with leading academic institutions and emerging tech startups
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board of directors
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists and junior futurists
- Drive adoption of agile innovation methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products or services
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, biotech, climate tech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, MS Engineering, PhD) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrix organizations
- Strong presentation and executive communication skills
- Published thought leadership in innovation or technology journals preferred
