Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit systems using IBM Q and Rigetti platforms
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and NISQ-era challenges
- Expertise in high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with machine learning for quantum systems
