Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems targeting 2026 commercial viability milestones
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and topological qubit design
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise applications
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize cryogenic control systems
- Secure $50M+ in quantum computing grants and partnerships
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or hardware prototypes
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization tools
- Experience securing government/DoE quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
