Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year innovation roadmaps for AI, biotech, and quantum computing domains
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and designers in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies
- Develop ethical frameworks for emerging technologies deployed by 2026
- Secure $10M+ annual R&D funding through compelling innovation proposals
- Present future-tech vision to C-suite executives and board members
- Mentor junior talent in future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with proven 5+ year strategic planning success
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or Quantum Physics
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent tier
- Expertise in at least two of: AGI development, synthetic biology, or quantum cryptography
- Experience securing federal grants and venture capital for futuristic projects
- Deep understanding of emerging tech policy landscapes (US/EU)
- Portfolio demonstrating scalable innovation from concept to market
