Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on technological, economic, and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategic foresight framework for the company
- Lead high-stakes scenario-planning workshops with executive leadership
- Translate future projections into actionable R&D priorities and business opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and external investors
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry experts
- Author annual 'Future State' reports and thought leadership content
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of publishing future-focused insights (whitepapers, books, keynotes)
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Master's or PhD in Futures Studies, Strategic Planning, or related field
- Experience with strategic planning in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech firms
- Certification in Futures Research or equivalent (e.g., AC/SCIP)
