Job Overview
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our enterprise applications. Your weekend shift will be dedicated to ensuring stability, resolving critical bugs, and deploying updates when the rest of the team is off the clock.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain critical software systems during weekend shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Debug and resolve complex software issues reported by users or detected by automated monitoring tools.
- Deploy hotfixes and perform minor code updates outside of peak business hours.
- Collaborate with the on-call support team to escalate critical incidents promptly.
- Conduct code reviews for weekend engineering tasks to maintain code quality standards.
- Document technical changes and create runbooks for weekend procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database management.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
