Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using Java, Python, and AWS services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and optimize existing systems
- Write clean, testable code following Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
- Participate in weekend code reviews, debugging sessions, and deployment ceremonies
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements for high-traffic applications
- Document technical specifications and create comprehensive API documentation
- Mentor junior engineers during weekend rotations and knowledge-sharing sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java/Python
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with RESTful API development and database optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in production environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
