Key Responsibilities
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for weekend reporting cycles.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales trends, inventory levels, and customer behavior specific to weekend operations to optimize performance.
- Visualization & Reporting: Create compelling dashboards and static reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders clearly.
- SQL & Database Management: Write complex SQL queries to retrieve specific data points and assist in maintaining our relational databases.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current data workflows and propose automation solutions to increase efficiency for the weekend team.
- Collaboration: Partner with the operations and marketing teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track their progress.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail or e-commerce sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (strong query writing), Python or R, and Excel (advanced functions, VBA).
- Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (40 hours over 5 days) or a standard weekend shift schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into actionable business insights.
