Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and zero-trust architectures
- Collaborate with IT teams on security policy development and compliance (NIST/CIS)
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Generate security reports and executive dashboards
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and DevSecOps
- Experience with forensic analysis and threat hunting
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
