Responsibilities
- Execute high-priority code deployments, maintenance, and patching on weekends to ensure zero downtime for our clients.
- Debug complex software issues and resolve critical tickets with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with the Product Team to analyze weekend operational requirements and optimize backend systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices (Clean Code, DRY).
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and perform technical audits of existing legacy systems.
- Monitor system performance and stability, escalating alerts immediately to the on-call team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, specifically with JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Strong proficiency in version control systems, primarily Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during the weekend shift.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly preferred.
