What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code for our proprietary platform during weekend shifts to minimize impact on production systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical bugs, and implement patches to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to review code, provide technical feedback, and support on-call rotation responsibilities.
- Maintain and optimize database schemas and backend services to handle peak loads efficiently.
- Participate in sprint planning and code reviews to ensure best practices in software architecture and security.
- Document technical specifications, troubleshooting guides, and deployment procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development (Java, Python, or Go preferred).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend hours.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to Long Beach headquarters as needed.
