Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Write clean, testable code following CI/CD best practices
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers on feature implementation
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical roadmaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching strategies
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
