Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the health of mission-critical servers and applications during off-peak hours.
- Execute overnight software deployments, database migrations, and system patching with zero downtime.
- Investigate and resolve escalated technical incidents that occur outside of standard business hours.
- Automate routine maintenance tasks and scripts to improve system efficiency.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team through detailed documentation and asynchronous communication.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in software development or DevOps.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes containerization.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure.
- Must be available and willing to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
