Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Deployment: Participate in the CI/CD pipeline and deployment processes to ensure smooth releases to production environments.
- Innovation: Proactively identify areas for technical improvement and propose innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience is accepted.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in the DC metropolitan area or with government contractors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least two of the following: React, Node.js, Python, Java, or AWS.
- Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Availability: Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
