Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of critical software systems during the weekend window to minimize downtime.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve anomalies.
- Execute code reviews and merge changes from the primary engineering team into the weekend release branches.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize CI/CD pipelines for weekend releases.
- Document technical incidents, resolutions, and architecture decisions.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations during off-hours operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, or C++.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
- Availability to work a fixed weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday).
