NexaTech Innovations is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dedicated weekend support team. In this role, you will be the guardian of our critical infrastructure, ensuring our SaaS platforms remain stable, secure, and high-performing while our engineering teams enjoy their weekdays off.
This is a unique opportunity for a developer who wants to take ownership of complex technical challenges without the Monday-Friday commute. You will lead the charge in maintaining our 99.99% uptime SLA, execute maintenance windows, and drive technical excellence in a flexible, autonomous environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software features and fixes during weekend maintenance windows.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot critical incidents, and implement emergency patches as needed.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to bridge the gap between weekend support and ongoing development cycles.
- Optimize database performance and refactor legacy code to improve system reliability.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and establish best practices for weekend deployments.
- Ensure all security protocols and compliance standards are met during maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (React/Vue) or Python (Django/Flask).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
