Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices using Python/Go on AWS/GCP
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization with Kubernetes and Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Collaborate with product teams to define technical specifications
- Implement security best practices for distributed systems
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)
- Contribute to open-source projects used by 10K+ developers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems design patterns
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (Pytest, Jest) and TDD
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Track record of shipping production systems at scale
- Excellent written communication skills for async collaboration
