Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using AWS/Azure with 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Lead architecture decisions for GDPR-compliant data handling systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira and Confluence
- Contribute to open-source initiatives via GitHub
- Conduct quarterly tech debt sprints and refactoring sessions
Qualifications
- 5+ years in production-grade software development (Java/Python preferred)
- Expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Proven experience with event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Strong grasp of TDD/BDD methodologies and testing frameworks
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system designs and deployments
