Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices capable of handling high-throughput traffic.
- Ensure system reliability and security by implementing best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 support and DevOps teams to resolve critical incidents during night operations.
- Conduct code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Optimize database queries and API performance to reduce latency and improve user experience.
- Participate in the CI/CD pipeline to automate deployment processes and reduce release friction.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Must be available to work a consistent Night Shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM PST).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues independently.
