Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our elite night shift team in New Orleans. Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts in real-time during night operations.
- Deploy code updates, patches, and hotfixes to production servers without disrupting user activity.
- Perform database maintenance, backups, and optimization to ensure data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve critical bugs and outages that occur outside of standard business hours.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team via asynchronous communication to hand over status reports and tickets.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability scans on infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or Go).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a rotating night shift schedule.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
