The Role
As a Night Shift Software Engineer, you will be the guardian of our systems during critical maintenance windows. You will work autonomously to deploy updates, patch vulnerabilities, and optimize backend services that keep our platform running at peak efficiency while the rest of the world sleeps.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Execute nightly deployments, patches, and security updates for production environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical incidents during off-hours.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to plan upcoming sprints and architecture changes.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
- Optimize database queries and application performance for speed and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system alerts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Demonstrated experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Must be available and willing to work the Night Shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
