Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy scalable backend microservices and APIs designed for high concurrency.
- Monitor system health, analyze logs, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks during off-peak hours.
- Resolve critical production bugs and implement security patches with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams through comprehensive documentation and evening code reviews.
- Perform routine database maintenance, indexing, and optimization tasks.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to support mission-critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js, with experience in RESTful API development.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments, SQL/NoSQL databases, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a night shift schedule.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
