Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for our core platform using modern technologies (Java, Python, or Go).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration during the handover to day operations.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues, performing deep-dive root cause analysis to prevent future downtime.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, conducting thorough code reviews to maintain our high engineering standards.
- Optimize application performance and scalability to handle peak loads efficiently during off-peak hours.
- Participate in nightly sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Contribute to the technical vision of the night shift operations, suggesting improvements to our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Deep proficiency in at least two major programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C++).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and version control systems (Git).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift (e.g., 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment.
