Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions for our core financial platform.
- Maintain and optimize existing codebases to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
- Monitor system health, logs, and metrics during off-peak hours to proactively identify issues.
- Collaborate closely with the day-shift engineering team to ensure seamless system handovers and feature deployments.
- Debug complex production issues and implement critical patches without downtime.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to the technical documentation of our architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with experience in cloud technologies (AWS/GCP) being a plus.
- Experience working in night shift schedules or 24/7 operational environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
