Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs optimized for 24/7 reliability.
- Oversee deployment cycles, code reviews, and system maintenance during off-peak hours to minimize downtime.
- Debug complex production issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to define technical requirements and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical code reviews to ensure code quality and security standards.
- Monitor system performance and metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with a focus on high-availability systems.
- Proficiency in at least two major languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or C#).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of database management (SQL and NoSQL) and caching strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a night shift environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
