Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot and Python
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization using AWS DevOps tools
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on agile sprint deliverables
- Resolve complex production issues with root cause analysis
- Contribute to API-first architecture and cloud infrastructure
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation with 4-day work weeks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Strong proficiency in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record with CI/CD methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 2 PM MST)
- Excellent communication skills across distributed teams
