Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services supporting mission-critical cloud infrastructure
- Lead incident response during night shift operations, deploying fixes within SLA windows
- Design CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment across hybrid environments
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architecture documentation
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Implement security best practices in compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with global DevOps teams to maintain infrastructure-as-code workflows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python, Java, or Go
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Proven experience leading incident response in production environments
- CI/CD proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent DevOps tools
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during off-hours
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
