Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Document security incidents and provide detailed forensic analysis reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Develop security awareness materials for internal stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and response
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis, and security protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
